Our annual carol service is on Sunday the 4th December at 10am in Kinneigh Church. We will have our practice there tomorrow, we love to go to this church as it has a lovely round tower beside it which is rather unique (the only one in Ireland to stand on a hexagonal base) and has loads of history.
The pupils will be taking the whole service except the beginning and ending prayers, which will be lead by The Rev’d. Stella Jones.
The pupils’ service will be a mixture of poems, readings and drama sketches. They will also be singing a selection of songs. The last of which is the Hallelujah song based on Leonard Cohen’s version from 1975. Our song is a blend of the music from The Appassionato Orquestra from Brazil and the lyrics from Cloverton, a Christian music band form Kansas.
Here are some of our pupils singing the “Hallelujah” song as a practice run for the Carol Service.
