Christmas Adverts

We spent an English class looking at adjectives and then we watched some of the popular Christmas adverts on our televisions at the moment.  We talked about the meaning behind the adverts, most this year are about family, people coming home to be together, forgotten memories and setting new ones, forgiving and loving one another.

Then we used our adverbs to describe the adverts, using words like exciting, poignant, funny, loving, splendid, wonderful, eye-catching, marvelous, challenging, charming, ambitious and creative.

Our favourite adverts were Waitrose (the robin coming home), Marks and Spencer (Mrs. Claus to the rescue) and the Heathrow (Coming home for Christmas) ones.
