What a lucky morning to be living in Cork, we had great clear skies to see the solar eclipse. We had sheets of cardboard with pinholes in the middle of them and sheets of paper all ready for the pupils. When the pupils arrived in the morning they and many parents joined us out in the playground. With the sun coming over our shoulders it shown through the pinhole and gave us an image of the eclipse on the sheet held under it. This is a safe way of viewing the eclipse.
Later than morning the Senior room made their own stunning posters of the eclipse.
We are very privileged to be allowed to publish Brian’s photos of the solar eclipse here. He is a keen photographer and constructive photography is one of his great loves. He got some fantastic photos.
