Friendship Week 9th -13th February 2015
This week is Friendship Week. In the Junior Room we discussed resolving conflict in friendships. Then they shared what friendship means to them. They painted their very own Handprint Friendship Tree.
Sue Blake has been doing a lot of work with the Senior Room on Friendship Amnesty International and the rights of a child, especially the rights of a child in Ireland in 2015. They talked about having a secure home free from danger, the right to peace and freedom from fear, the right to health and medical care, the right to be clean and have clean clothes, the right to an education, the right to a family and friends, the right to be safe and secure and the right to respect and recognition.
The pupils also got the chance to buy wrist bands this week from Friendship Week Amnesty International.
