We are delighted to have such an accomplished musician as part of our staff. Mr. Grainger brought in two of his own instruments into school from home. A while back he brought in a harp belonging to his young daughter, It was just the correct size for our pupils to each have a go, on it.
Today he brought in the uilleann pipes, they are our national bagpipes of Ireland. He showed them the bamboo reed from which all the sound flows through.
It was brilliant to see our national instruments in the classroom and to hear them being played professionally in front of our eyes.
